A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a blend of a Gutlehrdorn and an Ausschusslehrdorn. The Ausschuss side of the Gewindelehrdorn bears a red ring. The Gut side of the Gewindelehrdorn should screw into the cut thread of a workpiece by hand, without extra force. If not, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards (Ausschuss). The Ausschuss side can screw in by hand up to two turns. More than that, the thread fails to meet the desired standards. The reference temperature for workpieces and gauges is 20°C. Upon request, VÖLKEL provides a factory calibration certificate. Independent of VÖLKEL's production, calibration occurs in a lab following set standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI) on IAC-Gewindescannern.
