This Martin SH quick disconnect bushing is made of sintered steel and is used for mounting a quick disconnect pulley, sheave, or sprocket on a drive shaft. It is split through the flange and taper to provide strong clamping on the shaft. The bushing is made of sintered powder steel for greater strength and wear resistance than plain carbon steel. It is keyed to the shaft to prevent the shaft from rotating in the bushing, and it has a set screw over the keyway to help keep the key in place on vertical shafts and with vibrating loads.
